Esperanza USA Launches Bold HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign for Hispanic Churches

“In commemoration of October 15, the National Latino AIDS Awareness Day, Esperanza USA today launched a bold, national HIV/AIDS awareness and education campaign for Hispanic churches called Tu eres la respuesta (You Are the Answer).

“Esperanza USA is raising AIDS awareness in the Hispanic faith community with the Tu eres la respuesta campaign that educates and empowers our Hispanic churches on how to respond to HIV/AIDS in their communities,” said Esperanza USA President Rev. Luis Cortes, Jr.

Tu eres la respuesta makes available faith and culturally appropriate resource materials for the Hispanic faith community about HIV/AIDS, a topic that the Hispanic church has ignored for many years because of sexual taboos and inaccurate social stigmas.”
