Today, Web sites, video games, mobile devices and various digital connectivity platforms have created opportunities for marketers to bring their brands closer to individuals on a more personal level.

When online advertising began to take hold in the mid-1990s, static banner ads were the primary vehicles of choice. As static ads became ubiquitous, they were largely ignored by consumers. Slowly ads became animated, but, with time, they too became invisible among the clutter.”
