“Admitting he does not believe the legislation would be enforceable, a Metro Council member has nevertheless filed a bill to ban landlords from renting to illegal immigrants and to revoke business licenses from firms that knowingly employ them.

Both ordinances, filed by Hermitage-area Metro Councilman Jim Gotto, would create mechanisms for citizen reporting of illegal immigrants.”
