Knowledge is Power!

“The Orlando-based Hispanic advocacy organization held a hobnob event in east Orlando Sunday to encourage people like Aponte to encourage apathetic Hispanics to vote. If each participant gets five others to cast ballots, it would give Hispanics more power in choosing their leaders, organizers said.

About 200,000, or less than half of the nearly half-million Hispanics in Central Florida, have signed up to vote, according to statistics released by the Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office this summer.”
