“Perhaps the kitchens displayed in the book “Mexicocina: The Spirit and Style of the Mexican Kitchen” will inspire readers to design, and cook, with the same flair that inspired the book’s gorgeous cocinas.

At least that is what the book’s author hopes will happen.

“It’s not a cookbook, but our hope is that you see these kitchens and it makes you want to cook,” said Betsy McNair, who wrote “Mexicocina,” with images by photographer Melba Levick. The book, released in September, is the third in a series of Mexico-based books by San Francisco Bay Area’s Chronicle Books.”
