“On October 4, Congressional and Latino community leaders will hold a press conference to brief reporters and Congressional staff on the implications of Ryan White Reauthorization on the Latino community.
National Latino AIDS Awareness day was founded to call for expansion of resources for preventing the spread of HIV infection in Latino communities and to promote activities that raise national, state and local awareness of the expanding HIV/AIDS epidemic in Latino communities.
A panel discussion on the current state of AIDS in the Latino community will follow the press conference. HIV/AIDS testing conducted by DC Dept. of Health will be offered concurrently in the adjacent room.”
