“The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre metro area is among the nation’s fastest-growing Hispanic home-buying markets, according to a study released Thursday.
The number of home loans to Hispanic buyers in this region jumped by 65 percent in 2005 compared to 2004, according to a review of mortgages nationwide by Genworth Financial Inc. and Compliance Technologies Inc.
The increase was the fifth- largest in the United States.”
