“Officials at Weeks Middle School in Des Moines turned the Wildcats’ basketball court into a dance floor this week in a bid to promote cultural understanding and combat childhood obesity.

Ruben Zamudio III was enlisted to teach salsa and merengue dancing to some 250 sixth-graders as part of the south-side school’s observances of Hispanic Heritage Month.”
