GSEs go Bilingual, Offer Mortgage Documents in Spanish

“In an effort to help increase homeownership among Hispanics, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are now offering 83 non- executable Spanish translations of the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac Uniform Instruments to help lenders better serve borrowers who primarily speak Spanish.

The translations are meant to complement the English-language documents a mortgage borrower is required to sign.”
