After leaving ‘American Idol,’ Mario Vazquez releases first album

“A year after causing a stir with his departure from the TV show “American Idol” when he was the only Hispanic among the 12 finalists, Mario Vazquez is releasing an album Tuesday that he hopes will clear any doubts his followers may have had.

“I hope the CD is an answer for all the questions of why I left”, the 28-year-old singer said in a recent interview with The Associated Press. “I’m proud of this album. I’m proud that it sounds great and that it sounds exactly how I wanted”.”
