“Serving the needs of Latino senior citizens isn’t going to let up anytime soon for the small staff of La Voz del Anciano.

“It’s a big job, and it gets bigger every year,” said Trini Garza, executive director of the organization, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this month.

As the Latino population in Dallas County increases, so do the number of its senior citizens. Between 1990 and 2000, this elderly population grew almost 70 percent to more than 125,000 in Dallas County, Mr. Garza said.”
