Dominican Republic President Fernandez wants stronger trade ties with U.S. Hispanics

“Dominican Republic President Leonel Fernandez reached out to Hispanic businesses in America on Friday and made a strong pitch toward fostering better trade with a country that shares a language and cultural similarities with America’s fastest growing ethnic group.

Arriving over an hour late in Philadelphia and looking a bit tired from his overseas jaunt, Fernandez took time to speak at a luncheon of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and in doing so gave credence to the growing economic clout of the nation’s Hispanic population.”
