“Sometimes, a certain song can capture a moment in time like nothing else, says ranchera singer Pepe Aguilar, whose latest CD, “Enamorado,” is a tribute to early ’70s pop singers.

“I grew up in that era. I was just a kid then,” Aguilar said in Spanish from his Mexico City office. “I remember that phase of my life through those songs. I relate to all those phases I passed on the road, on tour with my parents, in the recording studios, at home when my mother would listen to Julio Iglesias, Alberto Cortes or Camilo Sesto.”"
