“Mt. San Jacinto College hopes to increase the number of Hispanic and other underrepresented populations in the industry with a $235,000 grant it received last week from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Hispanic-Serving Institutions Educational Grants program.
The grant will be used to attract, recruit and retain such students in the college’s environmental science associate degree program, which is the only one in Southern California, according to Brianna Aliabadi, assistant professor and program director.”
