Mexican jewelry store, Oro de Monte Albán, comes to San Antonio, Texas

“It may be a small shop, but there’s lots of importance in the arrival of Oro de Monte Albán.

The history of the jewelry shop goes back to the late 1940s, when a family in Oaxaca opened a shop dedicated to handcrafted pieces. In the 1980s, the family obtained authorization from the Mexican government to produce replicas of pre-Columbian pieces using traditional techniques.”
