“Wrapping up its 17-week national mobile program, La Costeña will host the Feel The Heat Jalapeño Eating Challenge Tour Gran Finale, challenging jalapeño lovers to attempt to break the Guinness World Record(TM) for the most jalapeños eaten within one minute (which currently stands at 15 jalapeños). The tour has crossed eight major cities, participating in the country’s largest Hispanic events, and qualifying one contestant per city to participate in the final fiery challenge for the Guinness World Record(TM) title and the chance to win cash prizes. The Gran Finale event will be held in Chicago during the Fiestas Patrias festivities on Sunday, September 17th at 1PM at Plaza Garibaldi.

La Costeña Feel The Heat Jalapeño Eating Challenge Tour showcases the warmth and festive spirit of the Mexican culture through family-oriented activities featured at each participating venue across the country. Additionally, for every jalapeño eaten during the tour, La Costeña has donated product to local food banks and hunger relief agencies. “
