Mexican family sues over killing by police in Chicago, Illinois

“The family of a Mexican immigrant who was shot to death last year during a traffic stop filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the city and 12 police officers, alleging that police “essentially executed” him and then conspired to cover up the incident.

Emmanuel Lopez, 23, of the 6100 block of South Troy Street, was unarmed when police pulled him over on Sept. 16, 2005, and fired 42 shots, striking him 16 times, the lawsuit alleges.”

I don’t know anything about this but how do you shoot 42 times and hit someone 16 times before you stop.
