“Leftist protesters on Wednesday began to pull down tents that have clogged up the heart of Mexico City for more than seven weeks in protest against alleged fraud in the July presidential election.

The supporters of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, a fiery former Mexico City mayor who narrowly lost the election to conservative Felipe Calderon, packed up several tents on the imperious Reforma avenue and central plaza”
