Spanish OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach Training Goes Online

Tagged:

“360training today announced availability of the first OSHA approved, online 10-hour outreach course for construction in Spanish. Until today, Spanish speaking workers were limited to seeking out Spanish instructor-led classes or had to attend courses in English. With today’s announcement, Spanish workers will now be able to obtain critical outreach training in a native language through an approved online e-learning format available at OSHACampus.com.

According to the Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, fatal work injuries among Hispanic workers increased by 2 percent to 917 in 2005, a new high for the bureau’s Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries. The Spanish 10-hour outreach course provides a foundation of knowledge to help keep workers aware of regulations and safety principles to help prevent workplace fatalities and injuries.”
