National Latino Officials Rally On Capitol Hill for Fair and Comprehensive Immigration Reform

“Latino elected leaders from across the United States will give voice to their communities’ concerns about comprehensive immigration reform at a news conference held by the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) on the steps of Cannon Terrace on Capitol Hill at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13th. A delegation of Latino leaders from across the country, will advocate for policies that allow law-abiding, tax-paying newcomers to eventually become full participants in our nation’s democracy, including earned legalization and guest worker programs with a path to U.S. citizenship, civic integration initiatives, and programs providing immigrant students with a meaningful opportunity to pursue higher education. “
