“Minority enrollment spiked 4.8 percent in Florida’s public universities for the fall semester, according to state officials.

Enrollment of Hispanic students increased by more than 7 percent, while enrollment for African-American students was up by 1.6 percent. Minority students now comprise almost 36 percent of students in the 11 institutions of the State University System, up from 35 percent in fall 2005.”
