“RCN Corporation (NASDAQ: RCNI), a leading provider of triple play cable, high-speed internet and phone services, announced today that it has unveiled and rolled out its industry-leading Hispanic offering including content-rich programming, customizable packaging options and comprehensive services in Boston, Chicago, New York, Eastern Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.
The new Hispanic offering features MiVision, or “my vision”, that includes more than 30 of todays leading Spanish-language channels. MiVision offers the unique opportunity to choose from specific themed packages of Hispanic content. Customers can select all of MiVision’s programming or choose one or more of the following four smaller subject-oriented programming packages:
Paquete de Variedades (http://www.rcn.com/cabletv/mivision/en/variedad.php), or “variety package”, provides a varied collection of leading programming content. It includes 15 channels filled with movies, art, music, daytime dramas and news.
Paquete de Paises (http://www.rcn.com/cabletv/mivision/en/paises.php), or “countries package”, provides a connection to a customer’s homeland as well as the rest of the Latin world. It includes 6 leading channels broadcasted from different Latin countries.
Paquete para Ninos (http://www.rcn.com/cabletv/mivision/en/ninos.php), or “kids package”, provides content for families with children. It includes 5 channels of fun, exciting and educational shows suitable for children of all ages.
Paquete de Deportes (http://www.rcn.com/cabletv/mivision/en/sports.php), or “sports package”, provides the best in sports action. It includes 4 channels from recognized leaders in sports programming”
