Judge denies restraining order for immigration activist (Elvira Arellano in Chicago, Illinois)

“A judge refused Tuesday to issue a temporary restraining order barring officials from deporting an immigration activist who has taken refuge in a church to avoid being sent back to Mexico.

U.S. District Judge Amy J. St. Eve said a restraining order was not warranted but told attorneys to try to work out an agreement on scheduling as the legal battle over whether to deport Elvira Arellano goes forward.”
