“Carlos Monsivais, one of Mexico’s most celebrated cultural critics, has been awarded the prestigious Latin American Juan Rulfo literature prize for rejuvenating “newspaper column writing, literary essay and contemporary thought in Mexico and Latin America,” the jury announced Monday.”
