Lifting the Tortilla Curtain in Columbia, Missouri

Missouri census data in the year 2000 indicate fewer than 3,000 Hispanic residents live in Boone County, but community activists say the number is growing daily. Never before has Columbia had such a focused chance to learn about the issues Hispanic and Latino immigrants face as they attempt to make a new life in America.”
