Hispanics make up less than 1 percent of Alabama voters

“Hispanics are a growing part of Alabama’s population, but they make up less than 1 percent of the state’s voters.

According to the secretary of state’s office, Alabama’s has nearly 2.7 million registered voters, with whites making up nearly 2 million of that number. Alabama has more than 675,000 black voters, and 7,187 Hispanic voters, or 0.3 percent.”
