Knowledge is Power!
“What’s up with the Chron and other statewide papers?. First, they tell us the truth about candidates avoiding the Latino electorate, and now, they tell us our numbers in the Texas Legislature won’t be going up any time soon.
It is noted that, although Latinos make up 35% of the Texas population, its numbers in the legislature don’t add up. Well, there’s an easy solution to that–Latinos need to move out of Latino areas! We’re too concentrated! The next redistricting is not going to help us if we stay in Latino areas, so we have 3 or so years to spread out into non-Latino areas. There’s enough of us to go ’round.”
