“HHS kicks off the 2006 Celebra La Vida Con Salud (Celebrate a Healthy Life) national health tour to educate U.S. Hispanics about ways to achieve healthy living. HHS participation in the tour is part of its strategy for promoting a vibrant and healthy nation without health disparities.

Celebra La Vida Con Salud reaches into the heart of Latino communities, drawing upon family and community strengths to help make good health practices a part of daily living. The campaign incorporates educational events and media outreach, including radio shows, public service announcements, online education, and health fairs. It provides health screenings for HIV/AIDS, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and other illnesses. “
