“Throughout September and October, the Wichita Public Library will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with events at some of its branches.

Scheduled events include a flamenco dance demonstration, bilingual story time, poetry contest and a book discussion series for mothers, sisters and daughters.

“We have a lot of different ways to learn a lot about Hispanic heritage,” said Jennifer Heinicke, special-projects librarian. “Hispanic culture is a part of Wichita culture. This is a way to learn more about Wichita, in fact.”"
