“The Tigers will celebrate the contributions of Latino players to the game of at ¡Fiesta Tigres! on Saturday, September 2 at Comerica Park.

Prior to the Tigers-Angels 7:05 game, this cultural celebration includes an opportunity to see ! ¡Beisbol! – the National Hall of Fame’s traveling exhibit dedicated to the accomplishments of Latino players. The panel exhibit from Cooperstown sponsored by CITGO Petroleum also celebrates ’s impact on the culture of Latin American countries. ! ¡Beisbol! will be on display along the Comerica Park concourse from September 1-6, 2006. ¡Fiesta Tigres! will also include , a live DJ, and bands. Nuevo Zapopan, Los Politicos, and Rick Cantu and others are scheduled to perform. A concourse auction of items autographed by Latino players to benefit The Detroit Tigers Foundation will also be held. ¡Fiesta Tigres! will conclude with a special on-field ceremony saluting the team’s current Latino players.”
