Spanglish Production company celebrates 10 years of bilingual comedy – New Jersey

“For the last 10 years, Maribel Gonzalez of North Bergen has had audiences at the Park Theatre in Union City rolling in the aisles with her signature style of bilingual “Spanglish” comedies through her production company, MG Productions.

“I’m very happy and I’m making people laugh,” said Gonzalez last week. “They say making people laugh is very difficult, but it has always fascinated me.”

Now celebrating their 10th anniversary, Gonzalez and MG productions will be hosting a one-night-only performance highlighting some of audiences’ favorite shows over the past 10 years, including excerpts from “Pase la Noche With Me, y Aprenda Inglés en One, Two, Three,” Gonzalez’s first production, to the most recent one from last year, “¿Why Because Porque I’m Under Tanto Estress?” “
