“The permanent exhibit at the Cannon Beach History Center is now available in Spanish.

Visitors to the museum can hear the text of the exhibit read in Spanish on “hear-sets” located at each major display panel around the museum. The exhibit, “Cannon Beach: A Place by the Sea,” is based on the Cannon Beach history written by Terence O’Donnell, and chronicles the story of Cannon Beach from the earliest recorded history to the year 2003. Cannon Beach was the final stop for the Lewis and Clark expedition before the corps turned back toward home. Inspired by the view of Cannon Beach from Tillamook Head, Capt. Clark described the area as “the grandest and most pleasing prospect which my eyes ever surveyed.”"
