El Dí de los Muertos / Day of the Dead Celebration
Join us on Saturday, October 28th, as we celebrate El Dia de los Muertos, the Longmont Museum’s signature event. The Day of the Dead celebration returns for a sixth year with an engaging display of community altars and an interpretive exhibit about this traditional Mexican and Latin American holiday. There will be activities for everyone, including traditional food, family altars, sugar skull making, storytelling, music, and more! La Ofrenda de los Muertos: Honoring the Days of the Dead
On display from October 21-November 19, 2006
The Day of the Dead, or El Dí de los Muertos, is a traditional Mexican holiday celebrating ancestors. As part of its annual El Dí de los Muertos celebration, the Longmont Museum will present its second annual exhibit, La Ofrenda de los Muertos: Honoring the Days of the Dead. This exhibit will be on display at the Museum from October 21 - November 19, 2006, and will feature altars from families in the Longmont community. An interactive altar will also be on display.
