“The Trejo family is among the nearly 10,000 Hispanics who have moved into the city since 2000, according to U.S. Census numbers released last week.

They were joined by 6,669 other foreign-born people who moved to Wichita.

The increase in diversity is reflected in the hallways of every public school in Wichita and has changed the way the district does business.”
