S.J. Latinos honored for contributions – Stockton, California
“Five new members will enter Stockton’s Mexican-American Hall of Fame on Aug. 26 for accomplishments including the promotion of Latino music and culture, and half a century’s worth of community organizing.
The inductees are Jessie Ornelas for women’s issues, Mike Torres for arts, Judi Ojeda Auwinger for community service, Dora Contreras for education and Carol Ornelas for business.”
