Knowledge is Power!
“Hispanic student populations are on the rise — a fact that has certainly not gone unnoticed by Bridges Transitions Inc., a Xap Corporation company. As the leading K-12 provider of online and software-based education planning and career exploration resources, Bridges has introduced an online bilingual version of its market-leading Choices Planner product, designed to help educators effectively reach and motivate Spanish-speaking students and their parents.
The National Center for Education Statistics reports that Hispanics, who comprise the largest minority group in the United States, have made gains in several key education areas over the past 20 years. However, gaps in academic performance between Hispanic and non-Hispanic white students still remain. Additionally, it found that Hispanic students have higher high school dropout rates and lower high school completion rates than white or black students.
In response to this achievement gap, Bridges’ bilingual Choices Planner is intended to help level the playing field by providing comprehensive information to all students. Students now have the option to compare, connect and choose education and career options in the language of their choice. For more information, visit
