“Latin America is looking muy caliente for Delta Air Lines.

The Atlanta-based carrier announced Monday that it is expanding to meet what it called the “burgeoning” Hispanic travel market.

The bankrupt airline, which filed for Chapter 11 protection on Sept. 14 — the same day as troubled Northwest Airlines — originally built the lion’s share of its success on routes connecting to South America.”
