Need for English divides immigrants

Or, as we know it here at home, the English language.

At a time when learning English has become a politically charged issue — Congress is stalled over an immigration reform bill that would make English the “national” language and require immigrants to learn it to gain legal status — a new study says the federal government is not allocating sufficient resources for English as a Second Language (ESL) classes.”
