“Efforts are under way to re-establish the Mexican consulate’s office in New Orleans, Carlos Gonzalez Magallon, consul general of Mexico in Houston, said here recently.
Mexico’s Foreign Affairs Office is doing its utmost to reopen the consulate before Dec. 1, Magallon said last month at a New Orleans World Trade Center luncheon attended by local business leaders and elected officials.”
