“Governor Edward G. Rendell today announced that Ana Paulina Gomez will become the acting executive director of the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs, serving throughout the fall.
“Since its inception, GACLA has made great strides in keeping the Latino community in touch with state government,” said Governor Rendell. “Ana’s communications background will serve her well as she steps in for the next few months to further the advisory commission’s mission. Her experiences and skills make her perfect for this role.”
Gomez was born and raised in Mexico and moved to Pennsylvania with her family in 1999. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from The Pennsylvania State University. She currently works in the Governor’s Press Office and has previously worked in the press offices of the state departments of Education and Environmental Protection. She will transition to GACLA on Aug. 14.”
