“Union Radio, the newly formed holding company for Madrid-based Grupo Prisa’s international radio assets, is branching out into the U.S. Hispanic market.

As part of the growing Union Radio team, W Radio 690 AM in Southern California launched in February as part of Grupo Prisa’s GLR (Grupo Latino de Radio) Networks, which produces and distributes programs and advertising for affiliate stations nationwide. Clear Channel formerly owned the station, which was known as The Mighty 690. The consolidated radio properties will fall under the GLR Networks subsidiary name.”
