“As the first step on the path of education, elementary school serves an important purpose. From kindergarten to fifth grade, we learn the basics of math, English and science. But is this education missing anything? Some school systems would say yes.

In response to international business and governmental growth, foreign language education is being introduced into elementary schools in some districts in the state of Washington.

Proponents of the addition say that younger brains learn and retain foreign languages more easily. Also, beginning to learn a foreign language at a younger age allows for more time to master an accent and precise pronunciation.”
