“Immigration reform has been on the minds of many Hispanics in the last few months, and groups in the Sandhills are trying to inform the community about what’s going on.

Teresa Nieto came to North Carolina five years ago to build a better life for her family.

“I was looking for improved economic conditions and to help move my children ahead,” said Nieto, who came from Mexico.”
