“The Hispanic unemployment rate in July did not change, remaining at June’s 5.3 percent, according to data released on Friday by the U.S. Department of Labor. In contrast, the overall U.S. unemployment rate increased to 4.8 percent from 4.6 percent in June.
The report also documented the continuing outsize increase in Hispanics participating in the job market, as two in five new jobs were filled by Hispanics on an annual basis.”
