“To advance a discussion of civic involvement among North County’s Latino residents, one speaker thought it would be helpful yesterday to provide a little historical context.

A liberal studies professor from Sonoma State University reminded the group of about 60 men, women and children that their ancestors fought for political reform and basic human rights in their native countries.”
