“The state’s Hispanic is estimated at 551,371, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau on Friday.

The July 1, 2005 data are the latest available and are greater than the 529,897 Hispanic that the Census Bureau estimated lived in Washington state on July 1, 2004. The state’s Hispanic has grown by more than 100,000 from the April 1, 2000 Census count, when the number was 441,509.”
