Knowledge is Power!
“A report released Friday from the U.S. Census Bureau says that over the past five years, the Hispanic population in Rock County has grown at 12 times the rate of the population as a whole. The Walworth County Hispanic population grew nearly four times faster than the total population.
And those numbers probably don’t tell the whole story, said Belem Gonzalez-Regan, director of the Hispanic Outreach Program. Some local companies hire seasonal workers who are difficult to count, and undocumented immigrants often are afraid to be counted.”
