Hispanic Documentary Series Voces to Air on Public TV in September

“The 13-part series Voces, from Latino Public Broadcasting, is set to air on public TV stations across the U.S. in September as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Hosted by , the series is composed of documentaries and musical specials that spotlight the diversity of Latin-American culture. Episodes include The Bronze Screen, on actors such as Rita Moreno, Anthony Quinn and Jimmy Smits; From Mambo to Hip Hop with Latin jazz legends Eddie Palmieri and Ray Barretto; Pancho Gonzalez: Warrior of the Court on the tennis pro; and The Republic of , about the first Dominican players to play in the Major League. Other episodes will cover issues like immigration (The Guestworker), gangs (Nuestra Familia) and suburban ethnicity (Recalling ).”
