“Nevada’s Hispanic population continues to grow faster than the general population, according to U.S. Census Bureau estimates released today.
While the state’s population increased 3.5 percent between July 2004 and July 2005, Nevada’s Hispanic population grew 6.8 percent, according to annual U.S. Census Bureau estimates.
In Washoe County and Carson City, the Hispanic population increased about 5 percent during that period, and it’s up almost 40 percent since the 2000 census, according to the estimates.”
