” The University of South Carolina will host the Association of Hispanic-American Women (Asociacion Hispano-Americana de Mujeres) on its campus on Saturday, August 12. This influential and active organization is comprised of approximately 70 professional Hispanic women who reside in the Upstate and are from a number of Latin-American countries. Its primary mission has been to preserve the Latin culture and to provide college and university scholarships for deserving young people of Latin heritage.”
